Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Math Solver AI: Homework processes information when you scan or select a math problem, request an AI-assisted explanation, use subscriptions, save solution history, or contact support.
Information You Provide
When you request a solution, the app processes the photo you capture or select, your initial request, and follow-up questions. Avoid including names, faces, school records, addresses, or other personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
Camera and Photo Access
The app requests camera permission only when you enter the scanner. Existing images are selected through Android's system picker. These permissions and selections are used only for features you initiate and can be changed in Android Settings.
AI Processing
Your selected image and related messages are transmitted over HTTPS to our server and then to OpenAI for visual analysis and response generation. The server forwards encoded request data and does not intentionally create a publicly accessible image file. Hosting providers and OpenAI process data as service providers under their applicable terms and privacy practices.
Information Stored on Your Device
Onboarding status, usage state, preferences, subscription state, solution history, locally copied problem images, and conversations may be stored on your device. No Math Solver AI account is required. You can remove local information through app controls, Android storage settings, or app deletion.
Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. The app receives product information and entitlement state needed to offer Premium access. We do not receive or store complete payment-card details.
Technical Data
Hosting and network providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, user agent, requested path, response status, and security or error events to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Sharing and Sale
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed with providers supporting app operation, including hosting providers, OpenAI, and Google Play, or where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
Retention and Deletion
Local history remains until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall. Server logs and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for operation, security, support, and legal compliance. You may request access or deletion by contacting us.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information.
Security and International Processing
We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS and server-side credentials, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure. Providers may process information in countries other than your own using applicable legal mechanisms.
