These Terms of Use govern your use of Food Expiry AI. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Food Expiry AI helps users scan food labels, extract expiry information, organize pantry and fridge items, receive reminders, and generate simple meal ideas.
The app is intended for personal organization and convenience. It is not a food safety authority, medical advisor, nutritionist, or professional inspection service.
OCR and AI results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misread label information. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all product names, expiry dates, opened dates, allergens, storage instructions, and food safety decisions before saving or consuming food.
Do not rely only on the app to decide whether food is safe to eat. When in doubt, follow official food safety guidance and discard unsafe food.
Food Expiry AI may offer limited free usage, including a small number of saved items, limited scans, and basic manual entry.
Free limits may change over time.
Food Expiry AI Pro unlocks advanced features such as unlimited items, unlimited scans, AI label extraction, expiry reminders, recipe suggestions, AI pantry chat, family pantry features, CSV export, and iCloud backup support.

Actual pricing, availability, and subscription terms are shown in the app and managed by Apple.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If a free trial or promotional offer is available, unused trial time may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where allowed by Apple policy.
If you reinstall the app or change devices, use Restore Purchases to refresh your Apple StoreKit entitlements.
AI-powered features may process OCR text, saved food item details, and pantry chat prompts through a private server-side proxy. AI responses are generated for convenience and may be inaccurate.
Do not submit sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information in AI prompts.
You agree not to:
Food Expiry AI, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by the developer or licensed to the developer. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app according to these Terms.
Food Expiry AI may use third-party services, including Apple StoreKit, iOS system frameworks, and server-side AI processing. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Food Expiry AI is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including food loss, missed reminders, inaccurate OCR or AI output, or decisions made based on app content.
Where applicable, your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement:

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
